"Nonconform" is a virtual exhibition unfolding in a 3D space created by artists from Russia and the U.S. on the Mozilla Hubs platform. It invites the viewers to a journey through a surreal space of a digitally reassembled Soviet Palace of Culture. What can be seen as "nonconformist" today? How do our cultural background and geography influence our visions of the past? Can contemporary art help us connect beyond physical and time distance? These are some questions that the audience is invited to explore together with artist Liudmila Belova (RU), Evgeniy Fiks (US), Tom Kotik (US), Alena Levina (RU), Andréa Stanislav (US), and Ilya Symphocat (RU).
The virtual exhibit opens March 2, 2022 and will be followed by a 2-day online conference. Attendance is free, registration is required.
