Russian Studies Workshop

Joie Meier is a doctoral candidate in the Gender Studies Department researching the growth of anti-gender politics in in the US and Hungary. Her project analyzes how the leaders of these movements in Hungary and the US have worked to build transnational connections between their respective nations and how these leaders manipulate potential voters’ emotions during the Covid-19 pandemic.
