Alyssa Rodriguez is a Ph.D. student in the Department of History at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. She received her B.A in History at the University of the Pacific in 2017, and her M.A. in History from the University of Rochester in 2018. Her research interests are centered in mentality and the study of the self in Soviet Russia. Looking specifically at the Brezhnev Era, she focuses particularly on the ways in which Russians perceive their place in society, how their mentality evolved, aspects of individual agency, and methods of dissent. At IU, Alyssa has studied Russian in the Language Workshop.
