Taylor is an RSW fellow and PhD student in the Department of Religious Studies with a minor in Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures. Her research interests are centered primarily around Late Imperial Russian literature and intellectual history, focusing her research on anti-semitism, Idealism, and Kantian ethics among Modernists, particularly around the events of the 1905 revolution. She is currently in the pre-writing stage of her doctoral program and is developing a dissertation project around these topics through inquiry into Russian and Russian-Yiddish Modernist discourses on (physical, political, artistic) creation as they relate to the so-called "Jewish Question." She has also studied Russian in the Summer Language Workshop
, as well as conducted field research with Old Believers in Russia's Altai region and archival research in Moscow's State Library of the Russian Federation and the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art.
