Rachel Julia Myers graduated with an MA in Russian and East European Studies and a JD from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2021. Her research is in international and comparative law, and she is interested in how tax and finance laws affect inequality and human rights issues. She wrote her MA essay on the challenges of defining de facto states in international law. Previously, Myers worked at the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative, supporting legal education programs in the Middle East & North Africa Division, and as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant at Udmurt State University in Izhevsk, Russia. She received her BA from The College of Wooster in Ohio. She has studied Ukrainian and Russian at IU (including the summer of 2018 at the Summer Language Workshop for Russian) and Russian at the Middlebury Language School. She lives in Washington, DC.
